Stepping It UP!

This is not just another year of making New Year’s resolutions. I believe many of us feel it. We need to make true changes within ourselves and our lives to the fullest now. It is not good enough to just be and do the same things. It is not acceptable to continue to act the same way when it doesn’t serve us or anyone else or the consciousness of our planet.

What is it time for? It is time to step into our greatness, not at some future date, but right now. I am focusing on the power to live moment to moment. This means that in every moment I have the opportunity to reflect on how I am acting and thinking, and change it if I need to. I am poised in really living from a higher mental place.

I remember the line from the Godfather, where the Al Pacino character says something like “just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.” I think sometimes we can get that way when we want to make changes in our life. We let the slightest thing someone says or something we read or witness pull us back into a way of being that we have said we chosen to release.  It is because we are not truly conscious of ourselves. We can change this.

This is why I feel it is so important to really be honest with myself. When I see this happening to myself to stop, breathe and pivot. I know it is possible. And I claim that it is possible and doable for all of us if we choose.

Several people in my circle have made their transitions this past couple of weeks. It’s a wake up call to me in an even deeper way. This is the time for me to step up in an even bigger way. The world needs the consciousness of great and loving people. That would be all of us.

For me, it means, living life to the fullest, using all my talents, being poised, honest, transparent and loving. There really are no excuses for not living life to the fullest. What are we waiting for…really? That fullest is different for all of us, and I believe it is our responsibility to discover what that is. It takes honesty and it sometimes takes making big changes. Happy New Year!

Love and Aloha,

Rev. Rita
