Am I Safe?

After moving through the COVID19 pandemic and living in the midst of many different experiences and reactions to it, I am asking the question “Am I Safe?” I am traveling to the Mainland this week from Kaua`i, and I am asking myself the question, “Am I safe?” It is a good question to ask, because the answer to the question will dictate how we experience life.

When I was a little girl in the 1950’s and 60’s, I remember my family sitting around the table and discussing air travel. My parents didn’t feel safe flying and I picked up a lot of their consciousness in this area. My mother didn’t feel safe with me in the swimming. I grew up on Long Island and swimming was part of my summers. I remember her standing on the shore just staring out with her hand over her eyes to guard from the glare of the sun. She watched me intently. I could feel her fear. We pick up a lot of fears from our influences as children, but it doesn’t mean we have to adhere to them. We can change our beliefs.

So my question is what is this feeling of safety and will we ever really truly feel it permanently. In meditation this morning, I received a download on this subject. We will never feel safe until we believe and feel that safety from within, no matter what is happening in the outside world. Safety is a state of a mind connected to an Infinite Power that knows through us, guides our path and never deserts us. True safety is our allowing ourselves to surrender to this Infinite side of ourselves and to move with it. When we do, we can feel safe in the midst of financial crisis or in the midst of a seriious health challenge. We can feel safe just moving through our day and expecting the best to unfold no matter what we encounter. We can feel safe because we know that everything that is occurring is Divine Right Action in our life. We wouldn’t feel anything but a peace of mind about everything.

When we bring ourselves to this place, our mind is freed to hear our inner prompts and guidance. In the other state of mind, we are thinking too much in a consciousness of avoidance and fear. Our circuits to the Divine get cut off. How could we hear anything coming from within when the outside noise is so loud.

We’ve been through a lot over the past few years. There have been political upheavals, a pandemic, an escalation in violence, and the threat planetary extinction. That’s a lot for a finite mind to comprehend and to guard oneself from. The only way through this earthly turmoil is to walk in a consciousness of safety. To know that everything is unfolding as it should. To know that everyone is doing the best they can. To know that the Infinite Power that works through all creation is Love and when we align ourselves with that, healing comes and safety is always assured. Guidance and direction and Divine right action become ours.

Consciousness is the only Reality. Everything comes from our Consciousness. When we are using that consciousness in love instead of fear, we will always feel safe. The world is temporal but it is an expression of the inner mechanisms of our joint global consciousness. “One alone in a safety consciousness with the Infinite constitutes a majority,” to paraphrase one of my mentors, Dr. Ernest Holmes.

I invite us to contemplate on what makes us feel unsafe. Then, question where a feeling of safety could come from . I can assure you that all our answers will eventually match. We won’t feel safe until we decide to feel safe because we are Infinite, eternal and pure love.

Love and Aloha
