Raising the Barn

“A barn raising, also historically called a raising bee or rearing in the U.K., is a collective action of a community, in which a barn for one of the members is built or rebuilt collectively by members of the community. Barn raising was particularly common in 18th- and 19th-century rural North America.”

This was a topic of discussion at our Center, because we are literally raising a new Center space this month. It takes more than hands to raise a barn; it takes raising consciousness and that takes practice. As much as I think I know, and as much faith as I think I have, I continue to raise my consciousness. I believe this current experience of moving to a new space was planned by me for the evolution of my soul. I cannot remain small any more. i am demanding my Self to grow. What does that mean?

Every time I feel stuck or a feeling of lack or worry or doubt, I know that I do not truly believe in what I say I believe in. I remember a passage from the Bible where it was recorded that Jesus said it wasn’t enough to have faith in God. We must have the faith of God. What does that mean? The Faith of God!

It means that we do not waiver or get stuck in secondary causation or what we see in the world of form, continuing to create from that space. We are creating what we see in every moment from Mind and Heart first. Our intention or desire or thought sends the signal out into the field and our feeling for that intention is what comes back to us. This is the truth. I know it. I’ve proved it in both directions. There is nothing new in this. This one thing has been taught throughout the ages. I explored the quotes below from different philosophies.

Engraved at temple of Apollo at Delphi. “Know thyself!” Everything we could ever need to know comes through knowing ourself, for that true self is God.

Buddha “All that we are is the result of what we have thought.” Right now as we are thinking, we are creating what will be. However, do not get alarmed. Only your strongest and most passionate thoughts will return to you in experience.

Plotinus wrote, “You can only comprehend the Infinite by a faculty that is superior to reason.” I know there is something called Spiritual Intelligence or Spiritual Logic. Those things of the Spirit cannot be reasoned; however, when one becomes spiritually attuned, one sees beyond conditions and begins to trust the greater Reality.

Jesus spoke these words, and others have, too. He knew that he wasn’t healing anyone. It was their faith that made them whole. “It is done unto you as you believe,”

Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote of the Over Soul – “One Mind that Governs all.” We now know that there is a Field of Energy in which we are all waves and particles of consciousness, continually shifting and changing and influencing each other.

Phineas Quimby, the 19th Century healing proved by assisting in the healing of thousands that “Man is his belief.””

In the Bhagavad Gita is written: “Shut out the world, control the mind, then you will be free.”

But how does one follow this simple yet seemingly complicated formula? How does one, as Michael Beckwith would say, “Disavow oneself from what is occurring in the belief of the masses. There is only one way: Meditation, Prayer and Practice. I do not know a shortcut. We live in a very strong Field, a strong collective of beliefs that have solidified for thousands of years. These beliefs in lack, hatred, poverty and are hard to let go of. I believe we are the ones to finally remember who we are and live in the world from a higher place. The evolution of our species depends on it.

Love, compassion, and service as spiritual beings is what we are expressing more greatly now than ever before. We are being asked to “Go Big!” Go big in every way and especially in the way of forgiveness, self-love and the willingness to think new thoughts. No one can take us there but our own selves. Today, I heard a talk by Michael Beckwith where he said, “Stop listening to me and, instead, listen to what I am listening to.”

The Great Presence, the Over Soul, the Divine is constantly whispering in our ear, urging us to expand and spiral upward. Every time we have a revelation that we put into practice, we expand ourselves just a little more. Spiritual logic put into practice makes Real sense. It tells me to treat each other with kindness, stop complaining, stop repeating the same stories over and over, stop spiraling in circles in our conversation and instead spiral upward. Remember that the Universe is for me and that the Universe is Perfection.

Last night I had the sudden realization that hell is being in Heaven and not knowing it. We are in Heaven my friends, and we are the only ones that can actually awaken ourselves to it. Again: Love, Compassion, Forgiveness, and the willingness to think new thoughts about ourselves and others and act accordingly will reveal Heaven on earth. Let us together Raise the Barn of Consciousness on Planet Earth.
