Anchors Away

Wow! One more week left at our suite at the East Kaua`i Professional Building. We are making a huge move to a new location, where we will be totally exposed. Why is this significant? It is very significant because it is a demonstration of our growth and perseverance and love for this teaching called the Science of Mind and Spirit.

I’ve titled this blog, “Anchors Away!” because its time to let go of the shore and live fully as spiritual beings. Dr. Jim Lockard wrote this in a recent blog and it struck me deeply.

“I am concerned with New Thought, whose principles, when fully realized, carry the healing power to transform society. But transformative principles are only realized through people who are themselves realized. People who have walked through the fire and emerged as greater versions of themselves. People who have a sufficient realization of abundance within to contribute to those around them. People who have done their work over time and continue to do it with dedication and enthusiasm.”

Dr. Jim Lockard

Why do these principles carry the healing power to transform society? For the same reason I just heard Dr Joe Dispenza talk about the change of each individual. When we as individuals change, we add to the change of the consciousness of the world. When we, as Dr. Lockard put it, “emerge as greater versions of ourselves,” we begin to experience a greater world.

The teaching of the Science of Mind instills in us the need to be more loving and compassionate to ourselves as others. It challenges us to take 100% responsibility for our choices and how they create our reality. It challenges us to clean our own mental and emotional closets. We are at a time in our evolution as a species, where we are are most definitely being called to be our True Selves, to live our Divine Selves, to remember WHO WE ARE.

The world is in turmoil. The struggle for power is stronger than ever. However, as the great Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “I believe Love will have the final word.” Can you stay in the consciousness of love long enough to give your life its final word. As we surrender to Love and live as spiritual warriors, standing for compassion and collaboration, we will send out sparks and signals that give others permission to do the same. We will set the footprints in the sands of time, that others can follow.

Someone always has to go first. Are you willing? Are you daring enough to live your true self, your soul’s shining light? The tug of mediocrity and submission to the collective consciousness is strong. This is not a journey for the weak of heart. It takes intense self-reflective work and the willingness to let go, forgive and love oneself fully.

There are many great spiritual traditions that assist us with this journey, but we have to use them and practice them. Find the one that speaks to you, and let’s get busy. Anchors away, my friends, anchors away.

Love and Aloha,
