We are creative. That is the essence of our being. We are here to express the Power and Presence of the Divine. Whatever you call it – God, Life, Source, Intelligence, Love – It is one thing and It is creative. If you feel stuck or are sad or feel lack in any area of your life, free your creativity. This is what I know for myself. Everyday, I must remember that I am here to express my greatest and highest self in a creative way.

What does it mean to be creative? It’s not about drawing a picture or writing a story, although those are ways to express ourselves. It is about letting out who you truly are. It is about living and giving your ideas to the world. Creativity can be misused when it is used to harm another or the world. However, it is still creativity, but it is channeled in a destructive way. Creativity can also be stifled, but it still expresses itself. It’s hidden in drug abuse or substance abuse. Creativity is our very Spirit and I believe how we use it or not use it affects our happiness.

For myself, I know that I must express the True me. I am a singer. I am a writer. I am a creative minister, in that I love to create programs and classes and workshops that enhance life. I love to teach. I love to speak. I love to embrace nature everyday. It feeds my creativity.

Yesterday, I was designing a particular workshop and I could literally feel the energy within me begin to increase. I left my desk feeling invigorated and new ideas kept coming and coming. That’s the other thing about creativity. When we express it, it builds upon itself. There are trillions of ideas in the Field or One Mind of which we are all a part. When we open up and allow, the right ideas for us will awaken us. If we grab them and utilize them, we are living God for sure.

I remember a story that Gregg Braden, the author and scientist told at one of his workshops. He had a friend that kept talking about a song he wanted to write. He hummed the melody and talked about it, but he never wrote that song. Some time later, he heard the exact melody on the radio. You see, the song was there in the Field. Someone caught it, wrote it and followed through. What ideas are waiting to be born within you?

Do you feel like you are done? We are never done. We just continue to expand and our creativity expands with us. Sometimes I feel like I have so many ideas it is almost impossible to express them all. That is when, I stop, just take one and get started. I tell myself there is plenty of time and that life is eternal. I will continue being creative, even after this life.

God/Source needs us to express Itself. I learned that once in a Science of Mind class and everyone argued about it. “God doesn’t need us,” they said and continued to say that God doesn’t need anything. Well, maybe need is not the right word. What God is…is creativity. It expresses. It might express as a tree or as the ocean or as you. Creativity means expression. God doesn’t just contemplate or think. When God thinks something happens. I can get Biblical about it. “God said, ‘let there be light’ and there was light.” God doesn’t stay stuck in Mind. It outpours Itself. We are God and we are inlets of that Energy. We have the choice to be outlets. The more we open up the channels, the more of God is expressed.

I invite you to be an outlet today. Live your dreams. Express yourself. Give your Good to the world. There is no one like you and no one that can give your gift exactly like you.
