Manifesting Desires: Embodying the Principle of Demonstration

My scientific life is my spiritual life. I am grounded in the science of spirituality. For the past few weeks, I have been wandering, thinking there was something else for me. I was longing for something, but couldn’t truly identify it. I wanted to call it the Divine Urge or Divine Discontent, but that is not what it was. I had somehow got stuck, thinking that there was more for me than was right here where I am. I was looking for something I already had.

Ernest Holmes wrote this. (If you do not know who Ernest Holmes is, he is a mystic, spiritual leader, author and the Founder of a Spiritual movement called Religious Science.)

A good demonstration is made when Truth, gathering Its own power, lifts one out of his environment, and until that time comes, she should stay where she is, in order that she may know when she has made a demonstration. It is not a good demonstration if when we give our treatments we have to struggle just as before. Principle is Absolute, and in so far as any individual can actually induce, within consciousness, upon Principle, a definite, concrete acceptance of his desire…it will manifest, even though every thought on earth had to change to compel it! If it were a bit of information that was needed for the demonstration that only one person on earth knew – and that person was in the center of Africa – the information would be produced.

This is me in a nutshell and maybe many of us that want something more in our lives. We will only live the life to which we are equal. We will be lifted from our environment into our next experience when we are ready mentally, emotionally and spiritually, and not before then.

I don’t know about you, but there was a time in my life when I lifted myself out of my environment, only to find myself in the same place somewhere else. Does this resonate to you? When I say “I lifted myself,” I mean that I was doing all the stressing and lifting. I was not relying on the unlimited power within me and aligning myself with it.

In the above quote by Ernest Holmes, he is letting us know that we have to embody our Truth before we can manifest it. Let’s say we want a better job or a better partner or better health. We will always find our own vibrational match wherever we go.

I trust this Principle that I will call the Principle of Demonstration. I know the times in my life when I have demonstrated my desires have been the times that I been totally fulfilled within myself right where I was. This doesn’t mean that we do not aspire for more or a greater life, but it does mean that complaining about where we are and how we will never get where we think we want to go, will not get us anywhere. Perhaps, gratitude is a good starting point.

I called this blog “Manifesting Desires: Embodying the Principle of Demonstration” because the Principle of Demonstration that I am referring to is just that. It is science meaning that it can be proven. We are energy. We are vibration. The Universe is all energy and vibration. When there is a vibrational match between us and something or someone else we have arrived. If we look at our life now, we will see that this is true. Our life is our demonstration. However, the good news is in any moment, we can change it. Nothing is solid and everything is fluid.

The place to start is to raise ourselves up. We can begin to do this by meditating, praying, dancing, singing, keeping good company and talking to ourselves as if we were our own best friend.

Love and Aloha,
