I was sitting on a plane, and, as it often does, the turbulence began; this time for longer than usual. I have a slight nervousness when I fly. It’s a feeling of uncertainty. What’s happening, really? Is something wrong with the plane? I think of the worst scenario for a moment, and then I quickly shift and use a method I call “living the end.” I imagine myself at my travel destination. It might be with my granddaughter as I watch her perform. If I am traveling home, it might be with my husband, sipping a glass of wine on the lanai. I settle in and I am calm. The turbulence might have subsided or not, but I am calm.
Living in the end is backed by a scientific principle in quantum science. It is called living your future self. I call it jumping into a timeline of my choice. You might be wondering. Really, can I choose my future self. The answer is yes. You might not be able to choose what happens in the outside world of conditions, but you can choose who you are in those conditions. You are the master of your own consciousness.
The principles of quantum science say the universe is uncertain, unlimited in potential, and entangled. These are your key tools. Uncertainty may seem intimidating, but it can be a powerful advantage. Superposition refers to having unlimited possible choices. Nothing is too big in the scope of your imagination. The entangled part of the formula means that we live in a universe where everything is connected and felt everywhere. What you feel and think and believe becomes your vibration and attracts the like to you.
If this seems a bit woo woo, I understand. However, I would ask you how you think the universe works. You might tell me that we are predestined for a certain life or that things are just what they are. You might tell me that you feel stuck where you are doing what you’re doing and that’s just the way it is. These may be valid excuses, but I don’t accept them for myself. Our current situation reflects who we are, but we can choose to change it at any time.
There is a new way of looking at everything. It’s called quantum science. If we look back in time, any great advancement in science took place because someone thought something new and different. If we look at any advancement in the social condition of the world, it was because someone thought something different and new. Yes, they were thought crazy too. People probably told them they were unrealistic and “to get real.”
I know I am pure energy and vibration. I know that how I vibrate is how life responds to me. I could give you a myriad of examples good and not so good of how this principle has worked in my life.
Frankly, it makes me very excited to know that in every moment, I am choosing my future. There is a quote by Dr. Joe Dispenza that goes something like this: If you want to predict your future, observe how you are thinking now.
The good news is that you can change the future in any moment by thinking anew. However, it doesn’t just happen like that. Practice and repetition is necessary. This is what holds us back – it’s the consistency of our thoughts. We can’t expect to think something once or for a moment. We need to focus on and pursue the experiences we desire.
Living in the end is a powerful tool that is available to all of us because we all have the same capability – a mind that is plastic and moldable. Remember, scientifically speaking, “Neurons that fire together, wire together.” It takes practice, and here’s a way to start.
Begin every morning with a few deep breaths and claiming your day. Remember yourself as vibrant and powerful and filled with energy. Just slowing down your breathing and getting in touch with your heart will take you there. Take a moment to visualize that future meeting or conversation going just the way you want it to. Take another few deep breaths and let it all go. As the day progresses, if you need to remind yourself, do it. Just do it. It will start to get easier.
What I am writing here is nothing new. People have been practicing it since the neocortex part of our brain was developed. We are beings of choice and volition. We might have been unconscious of this because of societal programming, but it doesn’t make it not true. Ernest Holmes the Founder of the Science of Mind and Spirit once wrote that we were hypnotized by “race consciousness.” We think and believe what we are fed through the media and our culture. The predominant thoughts of our culture become ours unless we use our own individuality.
I could go on here, but I want to leave you with a positive story. I had a vision of taking my granddaughter to Seaworld. I lacked both the necessary funds and access to credit cards to cover the expense. However, I did have my imagination, and every day I visualized that whale jumping out of the water and my granddaughter smiling and laughing and clapping her hands. I went to work every day and saved a bit of money here and there. It wasn’t long before the funds were available, everything was falling into place and I was making that plane reservation. Imagination drives ideas, and our will turns them into reality. When I speak of will I’m talking about the mental and emotional power to keep our thoughts steady on our vision.
So, today, I will live in the end of a vibrant, happy, fulfilling day. What will you be doing?
