Emma Curtis Hopkins, the 20th Century mystic in her “Radiant I Am” wrote, “But who hath told himself that all the objects he beholds and all their movements also are but projections of his own judgment? He seems always to be a learner and a seeker till at the center of his consciousness the fact is suddenly proclaimed that he himself produced the world as it appears.”
I am enjoying a powerful class/workshop about being a source of peace in the world. The premise is that everything begins with us. We are as Gary Simmons wrote: “The I of the Storm.”
I truly believe this premise and as I am listening to Emma Curtis Hopkins’ “Radiant I Am,” I have embraced this idea even more deeply. Whatever I am seeing and experiencing in form is a projection of my own beliefs and judgments. Emma challenges us to begin to realize that we have the Christ mind and can project on the world that love and power of health, support and joy.
This might seem difficult given what we are seeing in the world today, but that is the point. I believe, it is what is being demanded of ourselves. We must. This is the new earth that many are talking about.
So, where do I begin? I begin in this moment. I take the time with myself to ask myself the right questions and know that the answers are right here within me. I drop the sword in my own mind. I drop it not just in the large world arena; but right here where I am in my relationship with myself and those closest to me.
Someone recently used this term of “dropping the sword.” What does it take to drop the sword? It takes letting go of judgment. I takes letting go of expectations of anything but good. Whatever is occurring, we must search for the good. In our conversations we must look for our commonalities. We must judge with right judgment which is always love, not defensiveness.
And we must begin to realize that although we do not have control over what is happening in the world, we do have control of our own minds and how we look at the things that are happening. Are we jumping into the fight with more judgment and separation or our we beginning to realize that these are calls to love more.
As Emma continues in her Radiant I Am: “But now I know that I AM at my own Center, authority over and through my universe, and I shall ordain my twelve disciples, or my twelve powers, to spread my Original Nature abroad till from me to the utmost stretches all is my Divine Ego.”
I do believe it is up to us to begin to think, see and live our Divine Ego. This is our highest self, our Christ mind that only sees with the eyes of unconditional love and compassion. My world and therefore the world is my production. That production is my mind. I get to set the stage, cast the players and watch the show from the highest place.
