I woke up this morning with another full day ahead of me. The first thing I do when I wake up is to treat for my day. When I treat for my day, I am affirming just the way I see my day unfolding. I do not get in the way of how it happens; I merely let myself know what I expect to happen. I know that it is unfolding perfectly. I still felt a bit jet-lagged and a little overwhelmed by all that was before me, so this truly helps.
When I read the reading in the Science of Mind text for today, it was all about letting the Power flow through you. It was about allowing and being receptive to knowing that right where I am God is. I can only experience God by allowing myself to experience God. So, how do I do this? How do I allow myself to experience God. It is a mental acceptance. It is a letting go. It is a surrender. In fact, surrender is the best word I can use. When I just take a deep breath and center within and breathe, there is a shift.
This week in Mental Muscle Boot Camp, a workshop I am participating in, the directive is to listen and then to resolve. Listening isn’t just about listening to other people. It is about listening to yourself. It is about listening to that voice within – your voice. It’s always speaking, but sometimes we are talking so loud that we can’t hear it.
When I truly listen, I hear what I need to hear in every moment. What I heard this morning was something that Dr. James Mellon said on Sunday. It was his talk title – “Allow Me.” These are two very powerful words. To me, they mean to let go and allow Spirit to take over. I hear these words in the power of the ocean. I hear them in the frenetic energy that can sometimes occur when I am trying to hold on to doing it myself.
“Allow me!” Wow! what a relief! What a surrender! I don’t have to do it all myself. The Power that rules the planets is in charge and I am using it right now. “Allow Me!” In those two words, my whole day shifts.
“Allow me! sayeth the Lord.” That’s another way of saying “Allow me! sayeth the Law.” Yes, the Law of Mind in Action can take us wherever we want to go with ease and grace.
Love and Aloha,
