If Spirit or Life creates from itself, the question is how does one become the thing that it wants  in life before it is manifest. There is only one way I know this is possible. It is through the energy of love. Love is a creative force. Self love is the answer to everything.

Now when I am talking about self-love, I am talking about being full of oneself – that very things we’ve been told and scolded about. We do need to be full of ourselves. If we are not full of ourselves, who will be?

We need to love ourselves so much that we have total and complete compassion for ourselves in every instant. Even when we find ourselves off the mark and have done something less than lovely, we still need to forgive and love ourselves.

How do I begin to transform myself this way? It is through compassion and understanding for myself and my life. It is realizing that everything I’ve ever done was because of my understanding about life and myself at that time. I doubt really that we ever really meant to hurt someone. By striking out, we were more than likely striking out at ourselves.

Self love is a process and it must be worked on all the time. It is a process of discovery about oneself. It takes patience and forgiveness. It takes starting over again and again. Finally, I believe it gets easier. At least it has for me. When I can become the observer of my life and stand aside and look down onto my life and my experiences, I have a lot more compassion for myself. Try it sometime, if you haven’t already. Become the observer of your life. Write about it. Map your journey. You will see how much you’ve really traveled and grown and continue to grow through time.
