Do any of you remember this song, sung by “Doris Day?”
When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother, what will I be
Will I be pretty
Will I be rich
Here’s what she said to me
Que será, será
Whatever will be, will be
The future’s not ours to see
Que será, será
I love using it when talking about how we might live our life. Do we wake up in the morning and just see what happens? Do we think we have anything to say about how our day will go or how our life is? Do we believe that things just happen or do we believe there is a Power that works through us and responds to us?
I do believe I am in charge of my destiny and my fortune, not in a sense of will-power, but definitely in how I choose to use my mind in every moment. I believe in the power of my mind to direct my course. I believe in a Power that responds to me and my heartfelt emotions. I believe that whether I say it is working or believe it is not working through me, it is working exactly as I believe it is. The Power is always working.
I think we are coming to a time in our evolution that more and more of us are getting in spiritual touch with ourselves. I think more and more of us are saying enough is enough in regards to suffering. We are ready to jump into a shift that has already occurred.
Emerson wrote, that “The dice of God are always loaded.” There is no happenstance unless we believe there is. The Good is here right where we are. It is ours to accept, direct and live. We might believe in “haves” and “have nots,” but I know there is plenty for everyone. My life is not a mistake. Everything is as it should be. However, I show up for life, so it is.
When things just seem to happen, it just means that something is being revealed that we might have been ignoring in our ability to sometimes be unconscious. The Universe is always getting our attention one way or the other.
Ernest Holmes wrote, “The Law as force energy and creative intelligence responds to us by corresponding to our mental attitudes. In this way, we make up its mind for us so far as we are concerned.” So, the only thing I really need to concern myself with is my mental attitudes.
Yes, I can live my life “Que será, será. Whatever will be, will be” or I can know that the future is mine to see. I see it by setting clear intentions and getting out of the way of the outcome by freeing my vision into the creative power and letting it manifest it for me and through me. Then, and only then, do I move my feet.
Today, is our CSL Kaua’i Annual Membership meeting. Much will be discussed about where we are going in the future. There is no way we can “Que será, será” CSL Kaua’i. It wasn’t created in that manner at all. It was created and is sustained by knowing the future is ours to see. It is created and sustained with clear intentions backed by the elevated emotion of love and released into the Universal Law of Mind in Action.
Love and Aloha,
Rev. Rita
