Mystical Curiosity

“A mystic is not a mysterious person, but is one who has a deep inner sense of Life and of his/her Unity with the whole. A mystic is one who intuitively perceives Truth and, without mental process, arrives at a spiritual realization. …Spirit alone is their teacher.”

I love this definition by Ernest Holmes. It is clear and concise and easy to interpret. When have you intuitively perceived Truth without a mental process? You might say, no I haven’t, but I say you have many times. Every time you have been enthralled by a sunset, or every time you have watched in awe as a flock of birds have flown in unison across a clear blue sky, or when you have heard a piece of music that has opened your heart, you have intuitively perceived Truth without mental process because you have been in your heart space.

We might not be able to always hold our mystical selves in place during life’s ups and downs. Maybe, we rarely can, but it doesn’t mean that we are not all innately mystics. I know we are, and I know that the work comes in practicing mysticism and being committed to the process.

It takes looking through the current world of conditions and being able to open up to greater possibilities. It takes just opening up to the idea that maybe the world of form is only a perception that can change as our perception changes. It take perhaps contemplating Einstein’s message that “The Field is the soul governing agency of the particle.” If this Mystic gave us Truth and we lived by it, we would know that all our answers lie in Spiritual Realization, and in living from the fifth dimension where time and space do not dictate to us what can and cannot happen.

Although time and space might be necessary for those of us walking on this earth plane, we give them way too much power in regards to our ability to perceive that more is possible for us. As we open up to the limitlessness of the Quantum Field, we feel the unlimited self. This is the message of the mystic.

We are all mystics, perhaps unpracticed, but we are all mystics. The journey is allowing ourselves to accept and surrender to our true mystic self, to be curious about it and to actually give credence to the mystical messages that are all around us. We are at one with each other and the Quantum Field is us. We can become more wave than particle in the process of creation and choose our reality in any situation. The mystics know and knew this. There is a part of us that knows this, too.
