Give Way to the Divine

We all wonder and lament over all the struggle and turmoil in the world. There is turmoil and struggle in human existence, but it is just that – human existence. The struggle is for power, the power to make things happen in the way that we think they should be. Mother Nature is reflecting all of this struggle. There is that within us that thinks we have to do it, and the stronger we hold on and the more we force things, organize things, move matter from here to there, control other people, set deadlines that we think we can’t meet and then force ourselves to work to meet them, the more turmoil and struggle there is.

There is another way and I believe each of us can attain this. It is about giving way to the Divine. I have felt the Divine Presence within myself and all of us. It’s right here just waiting for us to surrender to it. I feel it, as we are putting together this move for Center for Spiritual Living Kaua`i and the Institute of Magnificence. There is something moving it forward with velocity and speed. It’s happening within all the people involved from our members to those with whom we are working. Something is moving very quickly. It is the Divine Presence. It is moving all of us no matter where we are and what we are doing. It is transforming the earth plane to reveal heaven; however, we each play our part.

There is a passage in the Science of Mind that speaks about Jesus. “We believe that Christ comes alike to each and all. There is no one particular man or woman predestined to become the Christ. We must understand the Christ is not a person, but a Principle. It was impossible for Jesus not to have become the Christ, as the human gave way to the Divine, as the man gave way to God, as the flesh gave way to Spirit, as the will of division gave way to the will of unity – Jesus the man became a living embodiment of the Christ.” Ernest Holmes (359)

The integral part of this statement for me is the knowing that the Christ (defined as the Perfection, God within each person) is in all of us. As Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “We are all inlets, but must become outlets for God.” Are we allowing ourselves to be outlets?

Yes, It is here. We are all It. Are we surrendering to It? Are we allowing It to take over our life? Is this what it is meant by losing one’s life to gain one’s life? I think so. It is something to ponder and contemplate today and to marvel at what is possible through surrendering to the Presence of the Divine, which is unlimited. It is what some call the Quantum Field. It is God. I can feel the struggle to hold on to control, but I believe there is so much more in surrender.
