I just read an article from Newsweek that quoted the late Stephen Hawking as saying that we earthlings should begin to look for other planets to live on. He said that we possibly only had 100 years here on earth before we will destroy ourselves through climate change, poverty, war, etc.

Of course, bringing myself to reality and the world of conditions, I can see that this could most likely be the case; however, I understand that this is a mental Universe and that all problems must be solved through spiritual realization. Problems cannot be fixed in a lasting way in the world of form from the same consciousness that created them. Packing up and going to another planet would be like packing our suitcases with all the problems we have here and re-creating them, in time, somewhere else.

It is the same with wanting to do away with the ability to procure automatic rifles. We most definitely should make this happen and the sooner the better. However, it is not going to solve the problem that the people who use these rifles have. Yes, for gun control, but it must be accompanied by digging into and solving the spiritual issues behind it all.

So, are you ready to pack your bags and move to another planet? Sometimes, it seems like the easier solution, kind of like leaving a marriage or job that is creating havoc in our life, but not solving the problems within ourself that created the havoc.  Ernest Holmes wrote, “Every problem is primiarly mental, and the answers to our problesms will be found in Spiritual Realization.”

How do we bring this down to something concrete – out of theory and into practice – something we can use? Einstein stated it perfectly when he said, we cannot solve a problem from the same energy that created it.

We must change our energy. We must come to the realization that we can change our energy. We do not have to keep thinking from the same place. We can open up and let the greater Life/Spirit move through us and give us our answers through the avenues of our own consciousness – our intuition. If we really sit with ourselves and with our problems, bringing this greater Consciousness that we all have, to the problem, and actually believe that we do have the answer, the answer will be there. Then, of course, we have to listen and follow that intuition into action.

There is one thing I know beyond a shadow of a doubt. We live and move and have our being in a Universal Intelligence that knows all, and we use a force, LAW, that takes the impress of our thoughts and makes them so. It can do anything for us that we can conceive of it doing. If you don’t believe me, ask any quantum physicist or better yet, prove it to yourself.

So, if we want life here on earth to change or if we want to move to another planet, the first thing to do is to get in touch with ourselves. We are the ones responsible for our destiny both individually and collectively. We have the Power right now to change the direction of this whole mess that we have gotten ourselves into (if you want to call it a mess); however, we must start with a Spiritual Realization.  We are dealing with Spirit and Law, just like we deal with electricity, it can either burn us or cook our food. It’s all about how we use it. Our we wise electricians or are we the little child who don’t know any better and just stick our finger in the electrical socket, or are we the one who knows and chooses to ignore what we know?

If you are saying to yourself, “Get me out of here,” just remember that you are taking that “me” with you.  There is love. There is peace. There is a totally new way to look at all of this and it is all within each of us.
