“This Power within you is the same that holds the planets in space.” Ernest Holmes
Last night, we got word from our daughter that our 14-year-old granddaughter, Jade, was hit by a car while riding her bike. She was thrown against the windshield, where she hit her head and then tossed onto the ground, knocked unconscious. Through what I consider Divine intervention, this all happened practically in front of the local hospital. The people who hit her, took her directly to the hospital.
Without going into every detail, the outcome of an MRI, Cat-scan and whatever other tests were performed were some severe bruises and road rash, but nothing else. Although in pain and scraped up, she is as whole and well.
I don’t know what to feel about this except gratitude. I am so grateful. The outcome could have been so different and I can’t help considering that. I could be writing about something totally different today.
Where in the past I might have asked why was she spared. I now know there is only one answer. Her self-chosen path, although more than likely subconscious was to be here. I do not believe in happenstance. Other than that, I have no idea what she was thinking or what caused this accident, nor do I care. I am grateful just grateful.
I believe in one Power. I believe in Life. I believe Life is who we are. I believe Life puts us exactly where we need to be in every moment. Whether we are conscious of it or not, we are guided, guarded and directed from within. Even when we kick and scream at life, it still unfolds in our favor, bringing the perfect experiences through us for our unfoldment. Divine Right action is always in place. Just like the prodigal son, we are always led home to ourselves, the Father within.
As I sit in total gratitude to still have Jade, our granddaughter with us and thriving, I know and trust that life is always unfolding perfectly no matter what. I remember those words I received a long time ago during a trying time in my life, “Stay, close to me. I’m here.” The closer I stay to my Higher self, the more I understand, accept and allow life to unfold in miraculous ways. I always have exactly what I require in every moment.
Jade, our granddaughter, is coming to Kaua’i in July. This trip was planned last month. I am so grateful we will get time to experience her on our beautiful Island. Really, let us not waste any time any more holding off on the things we want to do, be or experience.
Love and Aloha,
Rev. Rita
My heart aches for what could have been and loves deeply the outcome. What joy to be together in July! Thanks for sharing your journey and your belief.
