The mystic Ernest Holmes, in his book the Science of Mind, asks us, “Do I look at myself from a standpoint of restriction? Do I see life limited to the eternal round of getting up in the morning, eating, getting to work, coming home, going to bed, sleeping, getting up again and so on?”
This is a great question and no matter where we are in life or what we are experiencing, we could still fall into this state. Even if we had what we considered the most interesting life, we could still fall into this state.
I consider myself to have a great life. It is exciting and fulfills me. Still, I can find myself looking at myself from a standpoint of restriction. I can still act as though there are limitations on my life and my daily routines. Ernest continues to write, “Break the bonds of apparent necessity and see life as one continuous expression of the Infinite Self…”
What great advice! Yes, there are things we must do everyday, but we are more than all of this. Our life is an expression of Infinity. There is nothing we cannot do. Can we look at life with awe and wonder? It is amazing.
Whatever we dream is possible is ours to do. We do not have to feel stuck in any circumstance or situation. We are always changing and expanding and growing. Spirit does not let us stay in one place too long. We are always being pushed forward. Sometimes we might ignore it or be frightened by it, or feel that we can not overcome something; but, this is not the truth of our being. We are infinite ideas. We have infinite choices. We are here to express our Divinity. “ANYTHING YOU CAN DREAM OF is not too great for you to undertake, if it hurts no man and brings happiness and good into your life.”
I remember a time when I felt so stuck. I thought there was nothing that could move me from where I was to where I wanted to be. Then, a friend did a treatment for freedom. In that instance I realized I was always free to choose. I was not the bound up person I felt in that moment. It was a holy moment. I shifted and my life shifted.
I am so grateful that I took this message into my life and that I continue to do so. I am so grateful that even when I have challenges and setbacks that I know how ot move through them, to even be in them and still know I am moving forward.
If we were doing the work we were born to do, we would never become tired. “because the energy which holds the universe in place is tireless.” This makes sense because we are the Universe. It is the very energy that fuels us in every instant. It is only when we resist it that we get tired.
This morning as I awake and get ready for my day, I understand that the energy that created the Cosmos supports me. That means that it supports everything, every part of me – my intellect, my emotions, my physicality, EVERYTHING. There is nothing I could be lacking. I am looking forward to a day that is new in every way. I trust I will surprise myself today.
Love and Aloha,
