We’ve all had little niggly-wiggly problems in our life and sometimes larger ones. However, today, let us consider something that I know to be true. I know it because I’ve proved it over and over. It’s called “right thinking.”
Ernest Holmes wrote, “Such is the power of right thinking that it cancels and erases everything unlike itself. It answers every question, solves all problems, is the solution to every difficulty. It is like the Sunlight of Eternal Truth bursting through the clouds of obscurity and bathing all life in a celestial glory. It is the Absolute with which we are dealing and nothing else.”
I’m not sure we always realize that all it takes is a change in perspective to solve our problems big and small. It is called right thinking, which for me just means I am knowing solutions instead of recurring problems. I realize and sense that the Power of the Universe is backing me and everyone. It is all about the way I use my mind. Am I looking for solutions or just reiterating the problem, thinking it will never be solved. There is no problem to big for God.
We are dealing with a Power that knows all and contains the wisdom of eternity. That Power is the mind we are using in every moment. We get to rely on it, or continue to repeat our idle thoughts of misery and discontent. The sooner we can start realizing solutions and walking from that place, the sooner we will cancel out the rest. “Right thinking cancels and erases everything unlike itself.”
Does this mean we can change the world, our politicians, our global challenges? Actually, it does; however, not in the way that might seem apparent. Yes, make your phone calls, definitely vote, arise in discontent over human suffering, but do it from a place of solution. Be a right thinker first. So many times, we just put gas onto the already burning flames with our own anger, fueling even more and greater problems. The world needs spiritual solutions now.
Let us first become right thinkers. This takes lots of faith and trust. It takes a reliance on something that we might not readily see, but that can only be felt and acted from. Right thinking means that we understand that a positive mind is creating something greater. A negative mind is just keeping everything in the same place and sinking us deeper and deeper into the abyss.
I’m a right thinker today and always, and I rely on the greater Mind in which I dwell to bring all solutions through me as me. I let the Universe do its share, as I set right thinking into motion and move from that place.
