Ernest Holmes once wrote, “There is one Infinite Mind from which all things come. This Mind is through in and around man. It is the only Mind there is and every time man thinks he uses it.”

This was not a new idea for Ernest Holmes for he said that he found it in all his study of the ancient ones and numerous mystics and philosophies of the ages. That is why the Science of Mind and Spirit is defined as a synthesis of the religions, philosophies and science to be used for the betterment of humanity. It is practical and it is a synthesis of the truth of the ages.

Today, Quantum Physics defines this same Infinite Mind, but they call it “The Field.”  They say it is “Invisible forces that influence the physical world”

Gregg Braden, author and geologist who bridges science and spirituality writes about the field “There is a unified field that appears to bathe all of creation. It is called the Quantum Holigram, Nature’s Mind, the Mind of God …This energy appears to be the living canvas upon which the events of our lives are inscribed.”

So we know this now and we can even find proof of it through scientific research. There is no doubt that there is a Field. So now what?

The thing that first drew me to the Science of Mind and Spirit was its logical way of explaining life’s mysteries. The thing that drew me in the very first place was the idea that I am responsible for my life’s experience. I never saw this as a reason to beat myself up over my past or because I wasn’t able to manifest quickly enough. I just kept digging into myself and working the Principle. What I found was that it wasn’t enough to want something.  Wanting doesn’t bring anything to me besides more wanting. What does work in and through me is “becoming.”

This Field or invisible Force or Mind of God is my Mind and it creates through the power of feeling and not just feeling, but “feeling as though whatever it is that I want to demonstrate has already happened.”  This is the way we pray in Spiritual Mind Treatment, as if it has already happened. However, even Spiritual Mind Treatment is useless without the passion and feeling behind it.

This Field of energy that the ancients worked with, and Jesus worked with, and the New Thought healers of the 1800’s worked with, and now that we work with is pure unlimited potential. Everything is there within it and within us because we are it. We get to use it and choose how much of it we use. There is no limit. We are the ones who put the limit on something that is infinite in its scope. When we feel and pray the outcome, it changes the form that is created. It neutralizes what has been and creates new.

We are so connected that we all have the opportunity to psychically connect within the Field or One Mind. There the gift and the danger lies. Whatever we feel into It is felt everywhere. When there is negativity, negativity is felt. Where love and peace is, it is felt.

So, one might ask how do we avoid picking up the negativity. The short answer is we have choice.  We have choice in every moment as to what we receive from the field and how we perceive it. Without this choice we would merely be robots just walking unconsciously through life. Sometimes we do. But, now we know better. We have choice to continue to put out negativity where there is negativity or we can choose something more powerful that does change everything.

I’m remembering the prayer by St. Francis. It means a lot right now. I don’t read it as a Lord outside of me, but as the Field, the One Mind, The One Spirit that lives within all of us.

Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

“Out beyond ideas of wrong doing and right doing there is a Field. I’ll meet you there,” wrote Rumi.

Let’s get to work everyone. We have the ability to choose to heal this planet now. It’s already happened in the Field.
