Many people come to me for spiritual counseling. The reason they come is because something isn’t working in their life. They want to turn it around, but they need help. I, and other ministers and spiritual practitioners, are here to be that assistance, but we cannot do it for you. Our job is to assist you in revealing your true Self that has everything it requires to accomplish all that you want to accomplish.

This process cannot be rushed. It is a process of unfoldment. I’ve noticed that people sometimes get discouraged when they do not get instant results. They come in demanding things of life, but they don’t have the consciousness to support it. However, they do not understand that nothing can change until they change their mind about it. Ernest Holmes, Founder of Science of Mind and Spirit, once wrote, “We can demonstrate at the level of our ability to know. Beyond this we cannot go.” 

I know this is true. The knowing he is talking about is our inner state of oneness with our Power, which is the Power of Love and Law. When we surrender to that Self and begin to nurture our relationship with it as us, we are on our way. We cannot fail. “The way to work,” writes Dr. Holmes, “is to begin right where we are and, through constantly applying ourselves to the Truth, we gradually increase in wisdom and understanding, for in this way alone will good results be obtained.” 

Yes, it is a day-by-day process, that takes application.  It will take as long as it needs to take for each of us. I’m still working with this every day because the more I uncover and embrace, the more there is to know. The one infinite Life doesn’t expand, but we expand in our understanding of It.

So, please do not give up before you start. You can only go as far as your ability to know. The knowing is your journey and it can be a great adventure if you allow it to be. And, if you know you cannot fail, it should be a joy-filled and great experiment. “If day-by-day we have a greater understanding and a clearer concept, if daily we are realizing more of Truth and applying It in our actions, then we are on the right path and eventually we shall be made free.” This is the promise, and it is a promise that cannot be broken. It’s Law.

The Truth is as you put in your time and effort into the work, the Power of the Law within meets you and takes you where you’ve intended. What happens is that you arrive one day, almost like a seeming miracle. You wonder, “How did this happen?” You are not the same person anymore and you do not think the same way. As Dr. Joe Dispenza would put it, “You’ve lost your mind, and created a new one.” With a new mind, anchored in Truth, you are open for an amazing, abundant, loving, creative and health-filled life. Again, It’s Law.
