My husband and I are the Founding Spiritual Directors of Center for Spiritual Living Kaua`i.  At this point in time, we are at what is called the time of critical mass. We are growing in numbers. The space we are in is reaching its limit, but not quite there. The rents in Kaua`i are high. Our lease is up on October 1. We have been offered a rental renewal by the building owner that is stretching us but doable. We can renew for another three years.

Can we project what will happen within the next three years? What if this space isn’t big enough to hold us? Will it keep our growth back to stay where we are?  However, no other prospects are available right now and those that are, are above our means in the present moment. These and other questions must be answered before we sign that lease. I turn to the Principles of our teaching for my our answers. These are the Principles that this Center has been built on since its conception in 2012.

Ernest Holmes wrote, “As we unfold in our mentality, the Law automatically reacts to us. The way to work is to begin right where we are and, through constantly applying ourselves to the Truth, we gradually increase in wisdom and understanding, for in this way alone will good results be obtained. If day by day we have a greater understanding and a clearer concept, if daily we are realizing more of Truth and applying it in our actions, then we are on the right path and eventually we shall be made free.”

So, the best way to unfold is to begin right where we are and continue to open up to more Divine Influx. The place to begin is where we are in consciousness and to expand our understanding of the Infinite scope of the Universe and its infinite supply. The way to unfold is to take this space we are in and create the space that we envision for CSL Kaua`i at the same time. The best way to do this thing called expanding a Center is to begin where we are and take what we have and enlarge it in our mind. The way to begin is to expand our consciousness.

So, that is how we have built our ministry since 2012. What about you? Do you have something you are working on? Maybe it is the longing for better health. Maybe you want more abundance in your life. Perhaps, you are longing for a life partner? Or maybe you want to write that novel or expand your market as an artist. Maybe you are building a business. Whatever it is, the way to begin is to start where you are with what you have and then place no limit on the Principle of Life.  The more you can expand your mentality, not on what you see only on what you envision for yourself, the more you can begin to build your future. However, you must take action right where you are with what you have building toward that future. There is no waiting.

I used this Principle to release debt in my life. I used this Principle to become more abundant. I used this Principle to build CSL Kaua`i with my husband. I know many of us have done the same with our lives. We have everything within us to build our dreams one day at a time. It takes commitment, faith and action.

I begin with gratitude for what is and gratitude for what I know is coming, is right here in Spirit already. It’s really already done. We are just opening up to it. It’s that old analogy of the hose that flows with water, but if we bend it or restrict it, the flow stops. However, if we let go, it flows unrestricted. What in our consciousness do we need to let go of to increase the flow in our own lives.

Let us start right where we are and let go a little more each day, through prayer, meditation, affirming the good and practicing the Law of Gratitude. We must take action from this place. We must begin walking as our dreams. Start where we are, open up and anticipate more and more good.
