I know there is always more than meets the eye. What does this mean? Only that what we see, we see from where we are in consciousness; but, there is more than meets the eye because consciousness is always changing, expanding, growing. As Wayne Dyer once wrote, “When we change the way we look at things; the things we look at change.”

So, let’s take a little trip into ourselves and possibly embrace the idea that there might be more than meets the eye.

I am more than the molecules, atoms and cells that are my body. I am the very consciousness that holds them together, projects them into form, ever-changing. I am more than a body. I am in a body. I am in charge of my emotions and as my emotions change, my body keeps time with the music they make. I choose gratitude, compassion and love.

I am more than the checkbook that sits in front of me as I do my best to make the numbers match what the bank says I have. I am more than meets this eye looking at these numbers. I am the energy beyond and behind these figures. I am the substance that is in constant activity, unlimited and taking form exactly as I believe. Can I conceive? Can I believe? Can I accept that there is more here than what I see? I choose to live in an unlimited Universe and to give gratitude and appreciation for what I have, always knowing there is more.

I am more than my job. I am more than what I do every day. I am the energy that repels and attracts experiences. Every moment, I give myself permission or deny myself permission to be my best. I am not my promotion or demotion. I am unlimited source and creativity unbound by what others tell me I can be. I choose to give it all and know I am always met with all.

I am more than anything I call an accomplishment. I am the soul who is on a journey back to my highest self. Everything I experience is that journey, not the label I put on the experience. There is no such thing as success or a failure. I choose to look at everything as an opportunity to grow into the more.

I am more than my relationships. People are reflections of me. I am the builder or the destroyer of relationships. I am either love or an absence of love. I am in exact right relationship to everyone and everything.

Because I know that I am more than meets the eye. I know this is true for each and every person. Therefore, I release judgment and only see with the eyes of love. No matter what someone’s behavior is I know that there is more than meets the eye. God’s perfection is always expressing itself. I am at choice to see it and embrace it in everyone. And, the more I can accept God in everyone, the more I can except God in myself as a perfect unfoldment of right action.

There is always more than meets the eye. I choose to embrace this holy practice and to see beyond appearances.
