This is one of my favorite quotes by Ernest Holmes and it comes at an integral time in my life and in the life of this planet. So much is occurring right now that seems destructive and hopeless to many of us, including global warming and the deep rabbit hole of the current hearings concerning the January 6, 2021 insurrection. Many of us are distraught and feeling helpless in regards to all of this. Compounded with the events that might or might not be occurring in our personal lives, we might feel like there is no way out. However, this is not the Truth.

I rely on a higher Truth and that Truth tells me that there is a Law of Cause and Effect in place that I am both governed by and that I can use for my betterment and the betterment of the planet. This Law is exact and will give me back exactly what I put into it. Although it might seem at times that it takes forever to turn an event around or that we are hopeless in revealing the Truth in any given situation, it might be because we are trying to change something or someone else other than our own consciousness. It might be because we are in a stop and go process. In other words, we get positive about an outcome and then return to our negativity. We, as Ernest Holmes would put it, “are willy-nilly.” We certainly are not believing and “never wavering.”

In regards to global warming, we have to do our part in the physical world, but we also have to stop our doomsday mentality and start blessing our planet and looking to all the good that people are doing. We can see that good expanding, instead of saying it is not enough. The Law of Cause and Effect is a mental Law. It works from our thought to our action. Sometimes we forget the thought part of it or we deny it as airy-fairy and an excuse to not take action. Everything works together.

As far as the January 6 Insurrection, do we want revenge on either side or do we want justice. There is a difference and the way we perceive it and put our consciousness into it matters greatly. No matter what happens or what the outcome is, we will continue to recreate similar experiences of all sorts until we turn inward and straighten out our own minds and our own lives. Is there an insurrection in our own minds against our own inner power?

“It is not some power or a great power. It is ALL POWER,” and we get to use it with our mind, backing our actions and guaranteeing as big an imprint on the experience as our conception of that experience is.
