According to the Science of Mind: “Soul” is defined as “…the Creative Medium into which the Word of Spirit falls and from which Creation arises.” However, let us not separate our Spirit from Soul , for Spirit is God in us and Soul is the medium which we use to create our lives. There is Universal Soul which is another way to explain collective consciousness. It is what we now call “The Field” and what has been called “The One Mind.” It contains all the thoughts that have ever been thought and are thought and will be thought. It is receptive and expanding at all times. There is no time or space in this Universal Field. Then there is you and me. We are all entangled in this one Infinite Field, Soul or Mind, but what we use of it is our own individualized Soul.

It might take you a moment to digest all this, and maybe you won’t at all. I just wanted to put it out there because it is that upon which I am basing this blog which is titled “Soul on Deck” Think of it this way: Every time we think with emotion and feeling, we are impressing the Soul and it is saying “Yes, I know you want that. I’ll make it so.” This Creative Medium then goes about attracting everything to us that fulfills that desire at the level of our vibration. It is done unto us as we believe is another way of saying it.

From my own experience, I can give you an example. When my husband and I first came to Kauai to begin the Center for Spiritual Living Kauai. Our souls were filled with our passion and belief that this Center already was. We proceeded to go out and put that belief and passion into action. Doors opened and people gathered. It’s not that it was easy, but the path came together because our Soul was clear on what we wanted and we unconditionally believed it was so.

This is why I always ask my clients that are struggling with their lives what they want. Many times they cannot tell me. Instead, they tell me what they do not want. The Creative Medium within them is confused and giving them back what they do not want in many repetitive forms, experiences and people. What we focus on goes in that direction in the way of manifestation.

So, why did I call this blog “Soul on Deck”? When we are on deck we are ready. As an acting term we use on deck is when we are next to enter the audition room. The casting director will simply say, “Rita, you are on deck!” I get ready to go into the auditioning room next. Am I ready to meet what’s behind that door?

My question for the day in regards to your soul and my soul is “Are you ready for what it is you say you want to demonstrate?” If we are not, I believe we will not recognize the opportunity when it arises. What happens instead is that we look for all the reasons why it isn’t happening and that is all we can see. When our soul is ready, we are filled with all the expectation and belief that it already is so.

When I say “my soul is on deck,” my intention is pointed and direct and my feeling about that intention is filled with love and the realization that it is already a done deal. If I can keep myself in this frame of mind and heart without wavering, my demonstration is quick. Have you ever thought of someone with emotion and then suddenly the phone rings and there they are? Your soul was on deck for that person.

So, to wrap this idea up, there is a logical scientific law by which the Universe operates. It is impersonal in that it always says yes to us. The Divine Love/Spirit that we are is the personal part of it. It loves us and through us. It only wants our good.

You might be asking, but what about the suffering world or people who suffer? Love and Law did not leave them. Their soul has not been deserted. God is God no matter the emotional or physical storm. I do not know everyone’s journey or the whys and wherefores of the individual’s life experience, but I do know that Love will win and no one is ever lost no matter what. We are always in Life’s keeping. I know that suffering will cease when enough of us have had enough and live in love for ourselves, for each other and for our planet. We will act accordingly. We will look for the gifts and miracles in everything. We will live in gratitude in every moment.
