I can’t speak for everyone, so I’ll just speak for myself. For the past eight years or so, I’ve experienced an escalation in the atmosphere of a severe crisis in the unity of our country. I’m sure it began long before 2016, but I’ll start there. It began with the stormy election and its aftermath in 2016; and then the epidemic and the separation that occurred, not just because of the lockdown, but because of the way many of us turned against each other; and then came the insurrection of January 6th; and now, as we struggle to move through this somewhat painful and frightening election of 2024. It is no wonder that many of us feel insecure, uncertain and downright scared about our future as a nation and as a world. Our faith in our future swings from hope to despair. I am grateful to say that I do have a remedy.

First of all, can you believe when things look the worst, we can do our best work? This is what I have learned through the practice of the Science of Mind and Spirit. I’ll tell you why. It’s because when things look the worst, there is only one place to turn and that is within the very fiber of our soul and heart to our Divine Self, to our Intuition. Within the crevices of our deep intuition, not only do we find safety and solace, we find answers – our answers. When we find those answers and act upon them, everything changes.

For me, when things look the worst, I use something called Spiritual Mind Treatment. I can do this without the help of anyone. It is free and it is powerful. In the world of the quantum, it is a tool for shifting and changing energy. It is about feeding your intention into the Unified Field where we are all entangled. This Unified Field is not somewhere else. It is us. I will get to this in a moment. I want to digress to a conversation we had this weekend with friends.

We were discussing the upcoming election, our feelings about the candidates and our fear of the outcome. We looked at each other and we suddenly all came to the same conclusion. What if everything was unfolding perfectly? What if this was all about our evolution as a species? What if it was a call for all of us to step up in consciousness and in action? What if in this time when so many of us are divided, we stopped looking to the person that might or might no get elected and look to ourselves and each other?

I do believe this is a time for just that. I do believe this is the time for each of us to clean out our own closets of division within ourselves. What do we really feel about ourselves? Do we practice self-love? Do we practice respect for ourselves? Do we live in integrity? Do we live our lives truthfully and expansively? Do we trust the Higher Power that is within us? Then, do we practice all of these things with our neighbor. This is where I believe we can start.

Where does Spiritual Mind Treatment come in to assist? It is called affirmative prayer, and it is not a mere quibbling of words. It is a movement of energy. It is each of us, speaking the most powerful tool we have – our WORD – into Law. What is our WORD? It is a declaration of intention and feeling. When we speak, feel, and act, mountains move in the direction of our intention. The truth is, we are Treating in every moment, with our thoughts and actions and feelings about the current situation in our country and in the world. All our conversations and thoughts are being acted upon within the Unified Field or the Collective Consciousness. From the looks of it now, we can see what those thoughts are, and where our consciousness is.

The question is: Do you believe your thoughts, words and action have power? If you do, you are about to experience a huge shift in consciousness. If you do, you have all the Power of the Universe on your side and it will not fail you or us.

I know that I am the one that has to step up into action and it is not about fighting or hating or taking sides. It is about living the best me. It is about giving all of me right where I am. It is about feeding the Collective Consciousness with positivity and the knowing that there is a solution and it is occurring right now. This is not idle dreaming. This is the Power of Consciousness and, really, that is all we have right now. Consciousness rules and each of us matter. There is a statement by the mystic Ernest Holmes: “One alone in Consciousness with the Infinite constitutes a complete majority.” That is how important your consciousness is. However, I go a step beyond this, the more of us that give way to peace and solution, the faster and easier this shift will occur. I say stop taking sides, it isn’t helping. Vote your conscience, but don’t forget to live your highest consciousness. It will make your vote matter.
