As I close my 2024 and enter 2025, I understand that the most important journey I can take beginning right now, is the journey inward. Ernest Holmes, in the Science of Mind, wrote this:

“In conclusion, what the world needs is spiritual conviction, followed by spiritual experience. I would rather see a student of this Science prove its Principle than to have him repeat all the words of wisdom that have ever been uttered. It is far easier to teach the Truth than it is to practice it. But the practice of Truth is personal to each and in the long run no one can live our life for us. To each is given what he needs and the gifts of heaven come alike to all. How we shall use these gifts is all that matters. To hold one’s thought steadfastly to the constructive, to that which endures, and to the Truth, may not be easy in a rapidly changing world, but to the one who makes this attempt much is guaranteed.”

As I move into 2025, my question is, will I align myself with my Truth and live my life to the fullest from within to without? Will I be swayed by what I hear from the outside and make my decisions based on this hearsay or will I delve deeply into myself and listen to my own intuition?

What is the Truth that is individual to each of us? It is love and love only. It is loving ourselves. It is recognizing that we are born from greatness, from a Divine spark – each of us. It is knowing that who we are, all of us – our journey, or thoughts, our beliefs, our relationships, our very life on this plane of existence – is what we have made of our Truth. We are responsible for our journey. There is more and it is our responsibility as evolving souls to dig deep into our more and deeper into that love – the truth of our being.

Ernest Holmes wrote, “Love is a Cosmic Force whose sweep is irresistible.” We are, each of us, that Cosmic Force. Whatever this new year holds with all the conflicts and stresses we see around us and in our own lives, if we can remember that we hold the key that shifts everything, all will be well. The journey inward is the most important journey we can take. Once we arrive at our center, once we clean out all the layers of lies we have told ourselves, we will find wholeness – our truth. We are not alone. The Power within each of us will lead our journey individually and collectively.

I invite us not to give up on ourselves and to remember that we are the ones we have been waiting for. Jesus, Martin Luther King, Jr., Gandhi and other great leaders and teachers of love have all done what they can do. It’s up to us now.
