“When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are…”

We’ve all heard those words. As children, we believed that wishing on a star might make our dreams come true. But what if that childhood magic wasn’t just fantasy? What if it was the early language of something we now know as Spiritual Law—the creative process that responds to our thought? That it was wishcraft!

What is Wishcraft? It is not about hoping or daydreaming. It is the conscious use of Spiritual Law to transform desire into demonstration. It’s the craft—the art—of aligning thought, feeling, and faith with the Creative Mind of the Universe.

In New Thought, a wish is not an empty longing; it’s a Divine impulse. It’s Spirit whispering, “This too can be expressed through you” There is nothing born in your consciousness that is not a thought that can be manifest. The craft is our ability to shape that impulse through mental clarity, spiritual realization, and inspired action.

How many times do we say, “I wish…”? I sometimes catch myself using that phrase, but I stop immediately—because in Science of Mind, we do not wish… we announce. We declare. We speak our Word.

Just this week we talked about the phrase “Abba Cadabra,” which translates to “As I speak, I create.”
So I ask: Do we truly realize how powerful our Word is? Remember the phrase we learned as children, “Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never harm me.”? Words used in alignment with the Power of the Universe are far superior to anything else. We should use them wisely.

Wishcraft turns wishing into a spiritual art form—powered by intention, attention, and faith. We place our faith in the Law of our being, that perfect, impartial Law that brings all things to us through us

Ernest Holmes wrote that “The power that created the universe is the same power that responds to our thought.” That is the essence of Wishcraft. Spiritual Mind Treatment is our highest form of it—the science and art of consciously inducing thought into the Universal Subjectivity to create a new condition. Treatment clears our thought of negation, doubt, and fear, allowing us to perceive the ever-presence of God. A Spiritual Mind Treatment is the craft that goes beyond mere wishing. It is the sacred practice of aligning our desires with Divine Mind and allowing Spirit to fulfill them through us.

Here are the five keys of Wishcraft

1. Desire as Divine Impulse – Every true desire begins in Spirit.
2. Thought as Creative Cause – We use affirmations, Spiritual Mind Treatments, and visualization to impress the Creative Medium.
3. Faith as the Bridge – Practicing transforms longing into knowing.
4. Action as Demonstration – Inspired action grounds the invisible into visible form. We must take action.
5. Gratitude as Completion – Gratitude seals the consciousness of having received.

We just completed the most extraordinary Sacred Journey we’ve ever experienced—our eleventh!
Each one has been magnificent, but this one… this one felt alive with Wishcraft. Why? Because every event, every moment, was aligned with the intention of sacred renewal. We set the vision—and then we let go of the how.

When we got out of the way and allowed Spirit to move, miracles unfolded. That is the craft—directing thought, feeling, and faith in harmony with the Universe, then surrendering the outcome.

When we met the Swami at the Hindu Monastery, he said we were exceptional spiritual seekers.
I felt that deeply. Each of our seven journeyers reflected divine consciousness, magnifying one another’s breakthroughs. They set their intentions and surrendered to the Journey with an open heart and mind.

Later, when we met Marshall Jack—Grandfather Golden Eagle, our plans changed due to weather.
We didn’t reach the Rainbow Eucalyptus Forest. Instead, Spirit led us into a healing Pow-Wow right here.
That was Wishcraft in demonstration—allowing the Divine to redirect us toward a higher good.

I love this teaching. I love my life as a minister. I am renewed in my calling. I love what’s unfolding for our Center—because of Wishcraft. We have set the intention to grow, to expand, to awaken into greater expressions of Spirit. There is no time left for less than this. We are exceptional spiritual seekers, consciously crafting our world through thought, faith, and love. As we rewrite our individual stories, we are also re-writing the history of this planet—one conscious act of creation at a time.

I invite you to invoke your own Power of Wishcraft:  “As I speak, I create. My word is power. My desire is divine. My life is the living demonstration of Wishcraft.”
