What do I need to know today?

It’s the Year of the Fire Horse, and I truly feel it. The energy is palpable. Friends and colleagues keep saying they feel this exciting creative energy flowing through them. In some cases, there is no apparent reason—when we look at outer circumstances—to feel this excitement, and yet… here it is.

I feel this energy as letting go and cleaning out my physical surroundings. I’ve completely moved my office from downstairs to upstairs. I love it up here because I can look out and see the sunrise and the beautiful Sleeping Giant Mountain, which reminds me of the power of Nature. I feel this energy as creativity itself. I am embracing my vocal artistry and my deep love of writing.

I awoke today to torrential rains and thunder. A loud, long beep came across my cell phone, alerting us to the danger of flash floods in the area. “Flash floods are dangerous and life-threatening,” it glared from my phone. Warning! Warning! Warning! Then I read an email about a friend who is going through a difficult and challenging time with her health. Our cat jumped up on the bed, as if to let us know she’s here if we need her. All of this happened just as I opened my eyes.

So, I did what I do every morning—Spiritual Mind Treatment—before my feet hit the floor. What am I treating for? The remembrance of who I am: God, Spirit, Source Energy—up for anything set before me this day. We just lost internet. Oops! It’s back. Life is always shifting, and in the world of form, we are constantly bumping into the conditions of the 3-D world.

In the teaching of the Science of Mind, we know that everything is always unfolding for our highest good, that our inner journey is unique to us, and that Divine Right Action is always present. This allows me to face my day knowing that the Universe is always for me, not against me.

When I look at the happenings of the day as coming through me instead of at me, everything shifts. Instead of preparing for the next battle I must fight, I embrace the next inner shift I am being asked to make—to respond and love from a higher place. Sometimes, I miss the mark. Nevertheless, I am conscious.

I am embracing my creative nature right now. Projects are flowing. I am doing only what calls me. I am surrounding myself with people who are either shining their light—or are fully receptive to the light I shine so they may light their own wick.

Wherever you are right now, I invite you to open to the great surge of Fire Horse energy that is filling the Universe in this moment. It is not separate from you. You are it. It is the power of the collective consciousness emerging to lift our planet in love, creativity, abundance, and great healing.

I am taking this ride seriously.
