Is there always perfect timing? Is life always unfolding perfectly? I picked a quote for my daily meditation on Facebook Live:
“To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes
As I reflected on this quote and the idea of perfect timing, I discovered something: there is only perfect timing. Perfect timing is really perfect alignment. We cannot experience something that we are not aligned with in consciousness. In many ways, it would be scientifically impossible.
Everything is energy, and we live in a vibratory universe. Life is not something we create from nothing; it already exists as potential. The observer, you or I, are always experiencing life from our perception of it. We experience what we are equal to, or we simply experience what we are consciously aligned with.
If we desire more of something in our lives, perhaps instead of trying to push the river, we can learn to flow with the current of the river we wish to travel. Then the exhausting paddling becomes unnecessary, and we move more naturally with life itself.
Does this mean we simply sit back and expect experiences to drop out of heaven? No. That is magical thinking, and magical thinking gets us nowhere. “Things which are seen were not make from things which do appear.” Our work is to prepare our consciousness and to act upon the inner promptings we receive.
Have you ever had someone finally offer you the very thing you thought you wanted, only to realize you were not ready for it? Then what happens? The opportunity passes, and excuses arise about why it “didn’t work out.” But perhaps it didn’t work out because you were not yet prepared to receive it.
“To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.” What season are you in right now?
The season of creating?
Imagining?
Embodying?
Giving?
Receiving?
Each season has its own sacred purpose. Each season arrives in perfect timing as our purpose becomes clearer and we grow into alignment with what we say we want to experience.
The answer on every ministerial exam is the one we all joke about — but it is also the truth: CONSCIOUSNESS.
