“We have the capacity through our imagination and our inner Knowing and wisdom to think beyond the 3D world, to realize that the 3D world is a world of illusions formed through our perceptions.”

I’ve been challenged by others about this quote. The 3D world is very real. There is illness. There is war. There are all kinds of distressing and devastating experiences. It’s true. There are. And, to quote Ernest Holmes, Founder of the Science of Mind and Spirit, the conditional world is very real to us – who experience it. But, it is an effect of a deeper cause. The way we think, feel and act creates the conditional world.

In Spiritual Mind Treatment, we are challenged to condense everything to thought. There is a thought behind everything – a belief. If this were not so, how do you explain different people having different experiences across a globe or even in the same room. Life appears to us according to our beliefs.

This is the fundamental teaching of the New Thought Philosophy. It’s not new as it has been passed down by every mystic and teacher from Socrates to Buddha to Jesus to the New Thought teachers of our day.

The conditional world is very real. We are not imagining it. We have given it form through our focus and attention. Once those waves of energy move into particles and concretize, there it is. So, I’m not denying the physical world. I am only saying that I know and believe if we change our energy we will change our lives. If we change the focus of our attention on what we want to see rather than what we are seeing, we will change the experience.

There is a play called Man of La Mancha. I love this play. It is the story of Don Quioxte of La Mancha. He was thought a lunatic because he saw beauty where everyone else so dirt. A windmill became a monster to fight. A kitchen wench became a lady. In one of his songs he says, “I do not see the world as it is, but how I know that it can be.” He was persistent in what he called his quest to right the wrongs against others, to see the beauty, to give himself to his dream of a better world.

I believe that Don Quioxte consciousness is needed right now. If we are to move ourselves through the challenges before us, we need people of great imagination and doers of good.

I’m up for the challenge. I am an artist, a performer, a writer. Those are my gifts and I will use them through the use of my imagination to create a world that reflects the power of our uniqueness and our differences. I will help others confront their own challenges and help them move into examples of what is possible when we love ourselves, our neighbors and dare to see a world that works for everyone!
