Bandwidth is a term used to describe how much information can be transmitted over a connection. To increase my bandwidth means I can transmit more information at the same time. Bandwidth is the size of the transmitter, which determines our upload and your download speed.

It is the perfect metaphor for increasing our capacity to express the Infinite Spirit and to give and receive from Infinite expression as me or you. I am the transmitter for Spirit. As Ernest Holmes wrote, “We cannot contract the Infinite, but we can expand the finite.” That would be our own bandwidth, the largeness of our conscious connection in Spirit, our capacity to expand consciousness.

The difference between download speeds and upload speeds can be explained in the following way: download speed refers to the rate that digital data is transferred from the Internet to your computer, while upload speed is the rate that online data is transferred from your computer to the Internet.

Again, increasing my spiritual bandwidth, allows me to download Infinite Intelligence at a greater level of embodiment and also expands my compacity to upload or give. It seems that the Law of circulation is increased as I increase my capacity to embody the concept of Infinite Spirit. There is a play between uploading and downloading speeds. Sometimes one or the other needs more of my attention. I will know when and what that is.

However, I have to play with the Universe. I have to open up. Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, “Every man is an inlet and may become an outlet for all there is in God.” We are already inlets. We cannot stop the Universe from pouring through us, but we can stop ourselves from recognizing it. We are always at choice. How large we think of ourselves in relationship to the Universe, is our path to becoming an outlet. Being an outlet means our ability to let the Energy of God flow through us and out. Can we believe as Rumi said that we are the Ocean in a drop instead of a drop in the ocean. Can we believe that we are a hologram, where the whole of the Universe exists.

On our computers if we are experiencing speed issues, dragging or spinning circles while surfing the net or downloading or uploading, we are instructed to connect directly or to wire our connection instead of using wifi. Similarly, with our ability to embody Spirit, we need to make a direct mental connection instead of floundering in space and time with no direction. We do not need a mediator, we do not need someone else’s power, we do not need someone else to tell us we are okay or good enough. We need to make a direct connection. This is our intuition or God recognizing itself as us.

Another instruction we are given to increase our Internet speeds is to clear our temporary files, cookies and cache.. Clearing our history, cache, and cookies can increase the overall speed of our computer, and this will increase our upload speed in turn.

Here we go again, how can we move with power and newness when we are carrying all our old files with us. Beliefs might need changing or might need to be let go completely. We need to let go of what is not serving us. Old ideas need to be replaced. Our view of reality and God might need renewing. “Be renewed by the renewing of your mind.”

You might be asking, “How do I do that?” It starts with a decision to say yes to believing there is an infinite Universe pouring through us and then expecting to experience it.

I was walking on the beach at Kealia earlier this week right after sunrise. I looked at the expanse of a beach that was literally almost empty, just me and the ocean. It was beautiful, breathtaking. I thought to myself, how did I end up here. I was most definitely experiencing heaven. I know it wasn’t because I am fortunate. I am no more fortunate than anyone. The Universe is impersonal and it doesn’t play favorites. A voice within me said, “You chose.” Yes, I did choose. I chose to follow my heart, to take my next step. It isn’t always easy to choose the life we want. Many of us who have decided to live here on Kaua`i know what I am talking about. That choice I made seven years ago and even before that came with the faith that I would be met by the Universe in that decision.

The Universe will only give us what we think we deserve. Recently, as you know, CSL Kaua`i had a fundraiser. We set our goal and surpassed it. Why did that happen? It wasn’t because we worked hard, even though we did. It wasn’t because of the amazing talent, although we were all amazing. It was because we generated an energy of giving and receiving. We increased our bandwidth and were able to download and upload at a greater capacity. A community of people came together from all over the country, and into Canada and we increased our bandwidth with joy.

Ernest Holmes wrote, “The limit of our ability to demonstrate depends upon our ability to provide a mental equivalent of our desires, for the law of correspondence works from the belief to the thing. Bui it is within our power to provide a greater mental equivalent through the unfolding of consciousness, and this growth from within will finally lead to freedom.”

After the Telethon, I reflected on how small I had been thinking, not just about my life, but about the life of CSL Kaua`i. I feel like we literally together opened a portal to the more abundant life for all of us. It wasn’t a coincidence that we were doing the 40-Day Abundance Project at the same time. We were creating a greater mental equivalent.

Ernest Holmes wrote, “Here and now we are surrounded by, and immersed in, an Infinite Good. How much of this Infinite Good is ours? ALL OF IT! And how much of it may we have to use? AS MUCH OF IT AS WE CAN EMBODY.”

He screams out that we can have ALL OF IT. He screams out that we can use AS MUCH OF IT, AS WE CAN EMBODY.

If we want to embody more of the Infinite Good of the Universe, we have some work to do. It is daily work. It comes down to turning within and increasing our dependency on Spirit, surrendering to its activity, relying on it. It takes looking out with eyes focused on what we want to see. It takes surrounding ourselves with positivity. Not just a positivity based in lip service, but true positivity. The kind that only seeks to see the good in everything. The kind that is willing to praise everything. Even if there is only a pinhole of light, we have to find it and expand it.

Spirit creates by becoming the thing it makes. The only way we can become the thing is to embody the feeling of having it. Gratitude is the first step to embodiment. Starting right where we are we can be grateful for everything. We can be grateful to be alive during these strange times. We can be grateful for the friends or friend we have. We can be grateful for our pets, our family. We can be grateful for whatever we have and start there. I can’t think of a better way to begin to increase our bandwidth. It is not about getting more, it is about being more. It is about experiencing God whatever we conceive that to be as the only Power and to affirm it as our life now.

This question is asked in The Abundance Book by John Randolf Price, “Have I expressed a deep sense of gratitude to the Spirit within before my good comes forth in visible manifestation. Is my heart overflowing with thankfulness and joy the majority of my waking hours?”

How great is your gratitude? How great is your God; that is how big your bandwidth is. God isn’t limited; only we can limit God.

This month’s theme is to embrace the sweetness of life. Embracing the sweetness of life encompasses opening up our channels of giving and receiving, knowing we deserve an Infinite Good. As we do this for ourselves, in turn, the energy of the world is uplifted.

In his Abundance Book, John Randolf Price writes, “The Good of the whole must begin with the Good of the individual. You help the world when you help yourself. Remember we are all waves in the same ocean, and one man’s consciousness of wellbeing and abundance with its outer manifestation releases more light into the race-consciousness for the benefit of all.”

As we increase our own bandwidth, our own transmitter, we literally increase the whole, the world consciousness has to expand because we’ve pushed it to do so.
