Ernest Holmes, Founder of Religious Science and author of the Science of Mind wrote this: “Spiritual Substance is all around us waiting to be formed. “…The Law must work in compliance with our demand. The Divine Urge within us is God’s way of letting us know that we should push forward and take that which is awaiting our demand. If the good were not already ours in the invisible supply it would be impossible for us to procure it in any other manner.” He continues in this passage on page 157 to let us know that it is Faith that “molds the undifferentiated substance.

Although they do not call it faith nor do they use any of these “religious” terms, this is most definitely what we are learning in the field of Quantum Physics today. The scientific world merely say things like, where you place your attention is where you place your energy and that energy creates matter. “So above, so below.”

What could this energy be but the consciousness of Faith in the highest destiny for your life? What else could this energy but a Faith in the unknown and the unseen, the invisible?

If we think of the story of Aladdin and his lamp as a metaphor, we can relate it to that Genie who he rubbed into existence as the Faith that is within each of us just waiting to be used. It is our magic and inner software that works for us as we work with it.

All the Genie wanted was to be freed and he would do anything for that freedom. Likewise, our Faith freed and utilized will do anything for us. We must free our Faith and point it in the right direction. Faith is an innate gift that we all have. We use it through our ability to imagine and vision our lives in their highest and best order. We utilize it through gratitude and the power of acting as if. But, if we are sitting around waiting for things to happen before we are grateful or before we believe, we are utilizing our Faith backwards. Instead of Faith in expressing fear and doubt and worry. These are forms of placing our faith in the worst outcome.

The only reason I can give for why we tend to lend our imaginations to worry and doubt is that we have programed ourselves to do so. I think this programming has taken generations of repetition and been carried down to us. We had to accept these programs, yes, but many times we are unconscious to the fact that we are programmed to believe certain ways. It’s in our subconscious, but our Conscious Mind can shift the subconscious.

What I know now is that we “do know” we have these capabilities. There is a place within each of us that is very conscious of our Power, of the positive use of Faith and our ability to experience joy. It’s a choice.

I am sitting here right now writing this and I know there are places within me that are still holding back. As I stated, these blocks come from the past. My work now is to just let go, trust and utilize the gift of Faith. With no investment in the outcome, I can trust and live in joy, peace and love, celebrating and giving gratitude for what is. I can focus my Faith and put it into action by giving of myself in the multitude of ways that are mine alone. I can make my contribution to the world, stepping out a little further everyday.

There is a Genie within each of us, waiting to be awakened. “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
