Opening New Doors – Day 5 – Imagination

“Things are ideas in form. What else could they be? There is nothing from which to make things except ideas. In the beginning, we behold nothing visible; there is only an Infinite Possibility, a Limitless Imagination, a consciousness—the only action of this Consciousness being Idea.”
—Ernest Holmes

What if we could truly believe in the power of our imagination—that it is a creative power that most definitely takes form? I know our entire experience would expand.

If we could hold our will poised on the thoughts we want to demonstrate, and not allow any opposing thought or word to enter our atmosphere, we would be unstoppable. When we think of people who have brought new ideas into form—the Wright brothers, Martin Luther King Jr., Gandhi, Walt Disney, any great artist—we see that everything began with an idea.

Vincent van Gogh once wrote, “I dream my painting, and then I paint my dream.” Imagination is the starting point of everything. I believe the reason we do not yet have peace in the world is that we have not imagined it long enough to allow it to evolve.

Of course, there must be action behind every idea—but action comes much more easily when it is backed by the energy of imagination. Doors open more quickly. Possibilities reveal themselves. Imagination is contagious.

Let us use our imagination for Good today.
