Opening New Doors – Day 21 – The Door of Becoming

“No person whose entire time is spent in the contemplation of limitation can demonstrate freedom from such limitation. The Law Itself must be willing to give, because in so giving, Life is Self-Expressed.” — Ernest Holmes

Throughout our teaching of New Thought, we are reminded that this is not a get-rich-quick philosophy. It is a teaching that affirms that thoughts are things and that the tendency of our thinking—and our way of being—becomes the life we live on this earthly journey. The good news is that we can expand, live beyond our limitations, and grow in consciousness. However, we must do the work.

I believe that this work is fully our responsibility. I know that when I sit complaining about the state of the world and lament the whys and wherefores of things not being the way I want them to be, I am doing the perfect work of demonstrating those very experiences. Can I do the opposite? Is it possible to keep my mind stayed on the Power of the Universe—the Power that can only work for us by working through us—and trust that this Power can overcome anything we perceive as a challenge?

Considering the current state of the world, what do we truly believe can be achieved? Have we given up? Ernest Holmes wrote, “No man can demonstrate peace and cling to unhappiness. He can demonstrate resignation and call it peace, but it will not be peace. No man can jump into the water and remain dry.”

It is up to us. I will never stop believing this is the way to demonstrating freedom. So today, on the final day of this series, I ask: Have you opened the door to becoming exactly what you say you want in life?

  • Have you practiced commitment to your own cause?
  • Have you realized that you are always at choice in how you react and respond?
  • Where have you placed your awareness?
  • Do you trust the Universe?
  • How are you using your imagination?
  • Do you feel worthy of the Good?
  • Are you practicing the Presence?
  • Are you releasing thoughts and feelings that do not serve your becoming?
  • Do you walk through your fears with courage?
  • How is your faith barometer?
  • Do you trust your own Inner Authority—or even consult with it?
  • Are your thoughts aligned with Truth?
  • Are you living in joy?
  • Are you open to receiving the Good?
  • Do you accept and practice creativity as your true nature?
  • Do you have compassion for all?
  • Do you trust your own expansion?
  • Do you practice gratitude?
  • Are you living with the vision of the end result of your desires?
  • Are you embodying the principles you seek to demonstrate?

These are just some of the principles that lead to becoming—by revealing your Truth and living your true Self.

The world needs you. You need you. Let us journey together into becoming the world we say we so deeply desire.

Affirmation:
Today, I become all I desire by revealing my True Self.
