Yesterday morning, my husband and I did our daily Spiritual Mind Treatment before getting out of bed. In case you are unfamiliar with it, a Spiritual Mind Treatment is an affirmative prayer that moves energy in the direction of your particular desire. It impresses the Field or One Mind with that desire. It is magnetic in that it draws everything back to you in perfect alignment with your beliefs concerning that desire. Treatment changes beliefs when we identify what those beliefs are.

Well, I claimed our day to be one of peace, prosperity and ease and flow. I claimed a deepening of our faith and, of course, guidance and direction. Were my beliefs in alignment with those claims? I would soon find out. In the Science of Mind Ernest Holmes states about Treatment, “Treatment opens up the avenues of thought, expands the consciousness, and lets Reality through. It clarifies the mentality, removes the obstruction of thought and lets in the Light; it removes doubt and fear, in the realization of the Presence of Spirit, and is necessary while we are confronted by obstructions or obstacles.”

Yesterday, I did find out how powerful Treatment really is. We completed our exercise program and all was on schedule for our day which included a dinner with a friend. We ate breakfast and began the dishes, when suddenly out of seeming nowhere our kitchen sink became totally clogged. Try as we may, we couldn’t get it unclogged. We did another Treatment for solution and then moved our feet by calling the Landlord. The whole problem was solved by a plumber before the clock struck noon.

Four other things happen that would have made anyone feel that their morning Treatment for ease and flow was not effective. Without going into detail: There was a huge miscommunication at our Center, we got a notice from a billing company that we had not paid a bill that was already paid, and a package we’d been waiting for arrived opened, minus the contents.

Now, compared to what some people face on a daily basis, these things are small life happenings. However, small as they might seem, they were obstructing the day I envisioned. I could easily have thought my Treatment was null and void, but what I came to understand was that my day was indeed unfolding perfectly. “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

If “Treatment opens up the avenues of thought, expands the consciousness, and lets Reality through.” My day was right on target.Everything that occurred did just that and the clearing of the clogged drain was the perfect metaphor. There was something standing in the way of my perfect day, but only in the world of form, in the mental world I got total clarity of the things I need to still release in order to manifest an even more perfect day tomorrow. For example, the clogging of the drain brought up old triggers between our Landlord and us. The undelivered package brought up the question of truly feeling deserving. The confusion at our Center gave us clarity on what we truly want for our ministry. The final unclogging of the drain let me know that I am still letting things go and clarifying my mentality.

I am at a place in my evolution where I find that everything I encounter has a message from me for me. I trust the Law that “Life is a mirror reflecting back to the thinker what he thinks into it.” None of what happens in life is a punishment for a bad girl or boy. Everything is for our expansion, growth and deepening. We are always guarded, guided and protected, and yesterday proved that to me beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Playing on the field of life is like running with that ball to the finish line without dodging and getting knocked down. Instead, if we can accept the little bumps along the way as hints that something needs to shift in our thinking, we are then constantly growing and expanding by shifting direction.

Spiritual Mind Treatment most definitely works and my day yesterday proved it to me. My evening dinner with our friend was the perfect completion. It provided warmth, deliciousness and the understanding that even after everything that occurred, a shift took place, and the night was perfect.

The Universe is always working on our behalf; however, we have to work with it, not against it. Everything doesn’t always play out like we think it should, but it always plays out perfectly if we allow it to, while openly and honestly seeking understanding.
