Opening New Doors – Day 11 – Inner Authority

“First realize that Divine Power is; then unify with it; and then speak the word as one having authority. For the Law is the servant of the Eternal Spirit throughout all ages.” Ernest Holmes

During these challenging times, there is one thing I know to be a necessity in my life: I must trust this Inner Authority. I am the sole governor of my thoughts and beliefs. I have the ability to allow nothing to enter my consciousness that does not agree with goodness and love.

This also means that I have the ability to decide what is best for me in every situation. I do not need to go out and seek opinions about what I should do, how I should act, or what is right for me when making decisions about my life.

This Inner Authority is Infinite Intelligence—unlimited knowing. It is in touch with everything that is happening, has happened, and will happen. It is timeless and ever-present. It is everywhere present, all-powerful, and all-knowing.

To reach within and bring this Authority forward, I simply need to listen, trust Its voice, and act upon it. Some people ask, “How do I know if what I am hearing is true?” I always say that the Voice of Spirit is positive and loving. Do not confuse it with the ego voice, which can be critical, degrading, or seek to wield power over others.

The ego exists to protect us in physical terms, and sometimes that is necessary in the world of conditions. But Divine Authority—the Voice of Spirit—is our True Self. It will never lead us astray.

I believe I must come to trust this Voice in every situation, to follow its lead, and to entrust my soul’s journey to its call.

Affirmation:
Today, I listen, hear, and follow my own Inner Authority.
