“So, if we have to make a choice and feel we do not know which or what to choose, we must be still in our own consciousness and know that the Spirit within us knows which of those ways is the right and most constructive way and will guide us.”
—Ernest Holmes
Today, Day 2 of my meditation Opening New Doors, let us remember that we are not choiceless beings. The power of choice is our divine birthright.
Sometimes, we are under the impression that we do not have a choice. We say things like, “That’s just the way I am,” or “I’m not free to choose.” This is not the Truth. We always have a choice in how we respond and in what we do or believe in every single moment.
At times, we say, “I don’t know what the right choice is.” That is not the Truth either. We are infinite beings of Super Intelligence. We may simply not have fully accessed or trusted that Intelligence yet, but at our core, we always know what to do, what to think, or what to believe.
If we but take a deep breath—a sacred pause—before blurting out our next sentence or rushing into action, and ask, “What is mine to do here or be here?” or “What do I need to know?” we open ourselves to guidance. As Ernest Holmes reminds us, “The Spirit within us knows which of those ways is the right and most constructive way and will guide us.”
Have a beautiful, amazing day filled with infinite new choices.
